Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Quad Build (the “Service”) is built and operated by Quad. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use build.quad.chat, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies whenever you visit the site, create an account, or build and deploy projects with the Service.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in, we collect your name, email address, and profile identifier from our authentication provider (WorkOS AuthKit).
- Project content. Prompts you write, images you attach, and the code and files generated for your projects.
- Usage data. Information about how you use the Service — projects created, AI requests made, and billing events — so we can meter usage, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
- Billing information. Payments are processed by Polar. We never receive or store your full card details; we receive a customer reference and subscription status.
- Local preferences. Small settings such as your selected model lane and theme are stored in your browser’s local storage, not on our servers.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate the Service — generate code, run previews, and deploy your projects;
- Meter AI usage against your plan’s budget and process payments;
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- Provide support and respond to your requests;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents;
- Improve the Service and develop new features.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your project content to train third-party foundation models.
4. AI processing
Quad Build is an AI app builder. To generate code and responses, the prompts, attached images, and relevant project context you submit are sent to the AI model providers we work with. Model providers process this content under agreements that prohibit them from using it to train their models. Do not submit secrets (such as passwords or private keys) in prompts, and don’t ask the Service to build with data you aren’t allowed to share.
5. Service providers and subprocessors
We rely on the following categories of providers to run the Service:
- Convex — application database, file storage, and backend functions;
- Vercel — hosting of this site and the sandboxes used for live previews;
- WorkOS — authentication and account management;
- Polar — payments, subscriptions, and usage metering;
- AI model providers — code and text generation;
- Developer platforms you connect — GitHub, Vercel, and Supabase, on your own accounts, under their own privacy policies.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use a minimal set of strictly necessary cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in) and security. We also use your browser’s local storage for preferences like your selected model lane and to carry an in-progress prompt through sign-in. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Data retention
Your projects and account data are retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete a project or your account, we delete the associated content from our primary systems within 30 days, except where we must retain data for legal, security, or billing purposes. Backups roll off on our providers’ standard schedules.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@quad.chat. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
9. International transfers
We and our providers operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers of personal data.
10. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, authenticated previews, and isolated execution sandboxes. You can read more on our Security page. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it to security@quad.chat.
11. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the product or by email.
